● YUMINASHI O-RING SPL / INJECTOR ADAPTOR (A-TYPE TO B-TYPE INJECTOR CONVERSION)
● The Yuminashi SPL injector O-Ring is a special custom size injector O-Ring which is produced in Japan to ensure you the same quality as the stock/original Keihin/Honda O-Ring which is installed on your A-type injector.
The SPL O-Ring is an adaptor O-Ring which is heat resistance such as your stock injector O-Ring, and allows you to install the newer smaller Keihin B-Type injector type on your bike, which is used by many brands such as HONDA, SUZUKI, KAWASAKI, KTM, HUSABERG, HUSQVARNA, etc... since 2013.
The advantage of this conversion is of course that you can keep your stock A-type injector joint (this is the plastic part that holds the injector, and where you connect your fuel line to), and you just need to replace the stock injector O-ring with the SPL O-ring to allow the B-type injector to fit into your A-type injector joint.
Keep in mind that by fitting the injector into the injector joint is only half of the work done.
The A-type injector is 33.8 mm high and the body of the B-type injector is 4.9 mm shorter.
This means that you will need to remove 3 to 4.9mm of material from the aluminum where the plastic injector joint is bolted on, and this to make the injector joint to come lower to compensate for the difference in body height of the B-type injector.
※ If you have a scooter, and if you are using a throttle body with the A-type injector in the throttle body, then you can order our B-type injector joint (LINK) and you don't need to use SPL O-ring, since the B-Type injector joint is plug and play ready.
※ If you have a road bike, such as the CBR125R and the CBR150R to name two, then you can't use the injector joint with the link above, since the diameter of the injector joint is a larger diameter compared to a PCX125/150 or Forza300/350 to name a few...
※ If you have a road bike such as the CBR125R or CBR150R, and you don't mind loosing the fuel line connector, then you can simply cut the fuel line connector off, use the B-type injector joint (LINK) in combination with a hose clamp and even when it sounds barbaric, it will do the job perfectly fine, you won't have any issues with it.
