● The Light Weight Yuminashi Racing Series sprockets have been developed specifically for the racing scene, to meet the demand for a high-end light-weight very durable sprocket with a hardness of 58-64 HRC to be used on highly tuned engines.
THE REALITY OF THE 415 CONVERSION:
Converting your drivetrain from a standard 420 pitch to a narrower 415 pitch is a strict, track-focused compromise. By stepping down to a 415 profile, you are trading inherent chain durability for a direct reduction in parasitic drag. This conversion eliminates wide margins for error in alignment and tension, requiring the tuner to run a premium, high-tensile racing chain to survive the torque of a tuned horizontal engine.
WHY CONVERT? MINIMIZING PARASITIC DRAG:
Small displacement engines suffer heavily from parasitic drivetrain loss. The energy required to spool up a heavy, standard-width 420 chain robs horsepower before it ever reaches the rear tire. The Yuminashi 415 Light Weight Racing Series sprockets are engineered to recapture that lost energy.
- Decreased Rotational Mass: By narrowing the sprocket profile and running a 415 chain, you significantly reduce the overall rotating mass of the drivetrain. This lower inertia allows the engine to climb through the RPMs faster, dramatically improving throttle response and acceleration out of corners.
- Reduced Friction Profile: The narrower rollers and pins of a 415 chain create less surface-area friction against the sprocket teeth. This transfers mechanical energy directly to the tarmac rather than dissipating it as heat.
This #415 Light-Weight 18T Racing Series Front Sprocket is exclusively produced and precision CNC machined from a special selection of fine Japanese Steel, totally produced according to the JIS production process, which is entirely coordinated by the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee.

⚠️ TECHNICAL FITMENT NOTE FOR 18T SPROCKETS:
This extremely large diameter sprocket with 18 teeth is specifically designed for tuning with a long stroke and a large bore.
Because the radius of this sprocket is larger than that of the standard crankcase design, installation on large cylinder blocks – including the Daytona Anima 190 and YX172 – may require modifications to the aluminium stator cover and crankcase guard.
Check the chain slack before use to prevent severe friction in the crankcase.
