Japan Reiwa 1 vs. Japan Reiwa 2 Architecture

• Both the Euro-4 (2017-2019) and the Euro-5 (2020+) iterations share the exact same 62.0 mm x 41.3 mm bore and stroke. Honda did not alter the physical displacement to achieve the horsepower jump from 38 PS to 41/42 PS on the newer Japan Reiwa 2 standard models (this is not Euro-5!).

• To extract more power for the Japan Reiwa 2 standard without altering the bore and stroke, Honda redesigned the piston crown to bump the compression ratio from 11.5:1 to 12.1:1.
