• Official Naming: Honda XL100 (Honda dropped the "K" designation for these years, so they are officially just the 1976, 1977, and 1978 XL100).
• Common / Tuner Names: "Late XL100" or the "2-Piece Head" model.
• Physical Identifier: Honda completely redesigned the top end for these production years. It uses a 2-piece cylinder head with a separate upper cam holder/cover. It also features the upswept "Hi-Line" exhaust that runs high along the side of the bike.
