● CPR8EAGP-9® PLATINUM NGK G-POWER SPARK PLUG / GENUINE NGK (LONG-PROJECTED ELECTRODE)

● The CPR8EA-9 type is the long projected version of the short non-projected CR8EGP spark plug, and this projected electrode version is used in many 2-valve heads, and is perfect to be used with some 4-valve heads such as the YUMINASHI 4-VALVE HEAD for the C50, C70, C90, C100, WAVE100 and NICE110 engines, HONDA 4V CBR125/150R / WINNER 150 / SONIC150R, SUZUKI RAIDER 150 etc... since the electrode is longer and makes it long enough to reach at the combustion area from the cylinder head.

● The CPR8EAGP-9 is the heat range 8 spark plug in the Platinum version from the stock NGK spark plug with the code CPR8EA-9.

● The NGK Platinum G-Power Spark Plug (CPR8EA-9) features a fine wire center electrode that generates a superior, stable spark to increase ignition. This plug deliver more power, reduces emissions, extends engine life and improves fuel efficiency.

● The NGK Platinum G-Power Spark Plug is a superior performance spark plug comparable with the NGK IX Iridium spark plugs and with an economical price tag as pleasant bonus.
The IX Iridium spark plugs are a step up from the Platinum G-Power sparks plug if it comes on the lifetime because Iridium is a harder material compared to Platinum, so based on the data from NGK we see that you are able to run 20,000Km (12,430 Miles) with the standard spark plugs, with the G-POWER Platinum spark plugs you are pushing it to 40,000Km (24,860 Miles), and the IX Iridium spark plugs will allow you to run 60,000Km (37,290 Miles).

● So the both are performance wise comparable, price wise there is a remarkable difference where you get a longer lifetime in return, from the IX Iridium, so if the lifetime is important to you, then the IX Iridium spark plug will be the right spark plugs for you to go to, if performance is key to you, then you will have a great spark plug on this G-Power Platinum spark plug.

● FINE WIRE CENTER ELECTRODE

Originally designed to improve starting and reduce fouling on two-stroke engines, a Fine Wire electrode was found to improve performance in four-stroke engines as well.

A smaller electrode requires less voltage to jump the gap, resulting in fewer misfires, which translates to increased fuel economy and horsepower. A smaller electrode also reduces flame quenching.

Reducing the electrode size on a standard nickel plug would result in a drastically shortened life span, so the smaller electrodes require exotic metals such as platinum or iridium to maintain (and at times surpass) the longevity of a traditional spark plug.

While a traditional center electrode is 2.5mm in diameter, NGK's Platinum G-Power series features a 0.6mm center electrode.
