● With this 76.50mm 0.50mm second oversize high compression piston you hit two birds with one stone, since you can bore you old worn out stock barrel/cylinder up with just a second oversize of 0.50mm to make it as good as new, and you sort out the low compression ratio issue at the same time which is performance wise probably the biggest bang for your buck you will get for your 300 motor.
● Honda developed the 300 engines with one thing in mind, or better said with two things in mind, where the first thing is to meet the always stricter emission standards, and as second thing being able to show off with a great fuel economy number, where it's clearly by selecting a dish type piston for the 300 engines with stock a 10.7:1 compression ratio, that performance was nowhere included on their check box list.
● So if you are dreaming to get your stock bore bike over the 100Mph mark (160Km/h), then we have to disappoint you because it won't happen...
This is until you take action and start with bumping up the compression ratio to 12.3:1 and above with this 76.50mm dome type high compression piston, in combination with an injector larger than the stock 260cc/min fuel injector (LINK), and to replace the restricted stock air filter box with a higher flowing air filter (LINK) so you can suck in the air you need, mix it with the larger injector, and get a better more complete burn by the higher compression which results in a more powerful combustion with a stronger acceleration and higher top speed...
● Once you have this piston installed, you have the same compression ratio as a stock CBR600R / CBR600RR which means no issues to drive on normal pump gas, and finally being able to wheelie and hit the high rpm zone.
● This 76.25mm high compression piston is produced by ART, which is the Japanese company who producing all pistons for Honda, so you can be ensured that this piston is exactly the same quality as the piston used and installed in the Honda factory to produce your bike.

If you are looking for a 13:1 compression ratio such as the stock CBR1000RR then you can install the 78mm piston (LINK), or the 79mm 305cc piston (LINK) which comes close to a 13.5:1 ratio on your 300 engine.
