● This specific 4th Crankshaft Support Bearing Set with part number 91008-K26-B01S is mentioned to be installed on the 31120-K26-B01 stator from the MSX125 SF / GROM125 SF & Z125 MONKEY 2018/2019/2020 and can't be used on the stator from the 2013 OG 125 MSX/GROM or the 5-Speed GROM125 and 5-Speed Monkey 125.

● The 4th Crankshaft Support Bearing was developed by Honda in 2010 as you can see in the exploded view below, and this to be used on their special 110 series engines to deal with extra load on the crankshaft.

The extra bearing (9) in the generator / ignition cover (1) isn't only a great idea to be used on stock Honda engines, but certainly on engines with powerful big bore kits, and is in our opinion a great must have support for everyone who is thinking big bore, and certainly if you are thinking long stroke!

● The install is really easy, the NACHI JAPAN C3 bearing which is included in the kit need to be installed in the stator, and the circlip with number 13 in the Honda exploded view above has been replaced by a special bearing top cover plate, which need to be installed with 3 longer bolts and these are also included in the kit.
The special nut goes in the bearing, and support the crankshaft in the same way as the crankshaft extension on the Honda crankshaft above. The kit includes also a washer to ensure you have all parts to make an easy install possible.

● If you have a big bore kit on your bike then the extra support bearing in the ignition cover will reduce the vibrations greatly, and lower the risk of snapping your crankshaft in two pieces, more particularly on the flywheel side which is a very common issue, since this is the only side on the crankshaft which isn't supported by a bearing as you can see in the red image above (the crankshaft at the clutch side are supported by a bearing).

  • 1 SPECIAL YUMINASHI CRANKSHAFT/FLYWHEEL NUT (BOLT ON SHAFT EXTENSION TO INSTALL ON THE CRANKSHAFT).
  • 1 NACHI JAPAN 16003 C3 ROLLER BEARING (TO BE INSTALLED IN THE STATOR).

● HOW TO INSTALL ON THE CRANKSHAFT?:

Tools You’ll Need:

  • 8mm Socket
  • 17mm Socket
  • Impact Wrench 

Step 1: Remove the 8mm bolts around the stator cover. Keep in mind there are 2 short ones. Make sure they go back into their respective places. Make sure the starter gear and pin doesn’t fall out. If they do, make sure they go back into the same spot.

 

Step 2: Remove the flywheel bolt. This is easiest with a impact wrench. If you don’t have one, you will need a flywheel puller tool to keep it in place.

Step 3: Take the special nut from the Yuminashi Crankshaft Bearing kit and replace the old nut with the new nut.
Tighten the nut. If you have a torque wrench, OEM spec is 47 ft-lb.
